Tiny Drawstring Bag

What will you use it for? Lucky pebbles, guitar picks, tiny presents.This little bag is easy to sew and a cheerful way to use up small scraps of fabric.

Step 1: Materials:

Here are the materials I used:
  • 2 pieces of contrasting-colored fabric, cut into approximately 7" squares
  • ribbon for a drawstring
  • thread

Step 2: Assemble the square:

Pin the squares, right sides together.
Leaving a gap in the center of one side, sew around the outside.
Remove pins and turn rightside out.
Press.

Step 3: Fold and sew corner casings:

Fold in corners as shown. Press.
Sew a line of stitching 1/2" from each folded edge.
You will have four bits of casing with gaps in between.

Step 4: Finish:

I used a safety pin to thread the ribbon for the drawstring.

Thread a drawstring through the casing, pull up tight, and enjoy your tiny bag.
