Step 1
Mix a 1/2 fl. oz. batch of resin. For more detailed instructions see Using ICE Resin with Bezel Pendants Technique. 1/2 fl. oz. will be enough for about three 67mm clear glass ball ornaments.
Step 2
Pick out a clear glass ornament. We are using a glass ornament that is 67mm.
Step 3
Carefully remove the top to the glass ornament and set aside.
Step 4
Slowly pour 1/3 of the resin into the glass ornament.
Step 5
Slowly begin swirling the resin around the inside of the glass ornament.
Step 6
Continue swirling the resin around the inside of the glass ornament until it is completely coated with the resin.
Step 7
Set the glass ornament upside down in a clean measuring cup and let set for a minimum of 45 minutes. This will allow time for the resin to cure enough so it will no longer drip down the sides of the glass ornament.
Step 8
Using a stir stick add 6 to 7 scoops of glitter into the top opening of the glass ball. Add more glitter as desired.
Step 9
Tape the top opening of the glass ornament. This will prevent any glitter from spilling out.
Step 10
Hold your thumb over the taped opening and begin to shake the glitter inside the glass ornament.
Step 11
Continue shaking until the glitter has completely covered the inside of the glass ornament. if it isn’t completely coated, add more glitter. Repeat as needed.
Step 12
Once the glass ornament has reached your desired look remove the tape from the top opening.
Step 13
Tap any extra glitter from the glass ornament back into the jar of glitter.
Step 14
Place the glass ornament upside down in a clean measuring cup and let fully cure for a minimum of 3 days.
Note:
Check your glass ornament after it has soft cured for 3 hours. If there are drops of resin around the opening carefully wipe away using a paper towel.
Step 15
After the glitter ornament has fully cured for 3 days, carefully put the top back in place.
Step 16
Congratulations! You have now embellished an ornament with ICE Resin and glitter.
