Chevron Glitter DIY iPhone Case

I love changing out my phone case. I use my phone so much that it’s also become a fashion accessory. For today’s tutorial, I will show you how to make a chevron glitter DIY iPhone case with a plain plastic case. If you’re like me, you may have a couple of spare cases lying around, and if not, they are super cheap on Amazon and ebay nowadays!

Supplies needed to make your own DIY iPhone case:

  • Glitter (I used extra fine white)
  • Repositionable Adhesive
  • Craft Knife
  • Paper
  • Printable Chevron Pattern
  • Plain Plastic Phone Case (color of your choice)
  • Printer
  • Clear Acrylic Sealer (optional)

Print out the chevron pattern.  The pattern is sized to fit an iPhone, but you can scale it larger if you have a larger phone.

Using a craft knife, cut out the black parts of the chevron pattern.  You are making your template.

Using tape, tape around the edges of your phone case.  This is to prevent adhesive from getting on the sides of your phone.

Lightly spray the adhesive onto your template.

Stick  your template onto your DIY  iPhone case, and then spray one more time.

Now it’s time to add some glitter!

Remove the template and sprinkle glitter over the entire DIY iPhone case.

Lightly tap off  the excess glitter. For extra protection for your new DIY iPhone case, spray 1 to 2 coats of clear acrylic sealer to keep the glitter in place. Remove the tape.

I love the look of this chevron pattern.  If you have a Silhouette you could cut a more intricate design on vinyl to use as a template.
