Basic Netting

Step 1

For a basic netting design, choose two colors - a main color (A) and an accent color (B).

Step 2

Cut a piece of thread about 5 feet long. Thread your needle.

Step 3

Use Thread Heaven to condition your thread. This will help prevent fraying.

Step 4

Add a mini bead stopper about one foot from the end of your thread. Squeeze the two loops to open the bead stopper.

Step 5

Add thread to the mini bead stopper and release the loops. This will help prevent beads from falling off your thread.

Step 6

Begin your netted piece by stringing the following beads: 1B, 2A, 1B, 2A, 1B, 2A, 1B, 2A, 1B, 2A, 1B, 2A, 1B, and 2A. This pattern will give you a four section wide piece. To widen the piece by one section, add 2A, 1B, 2A, and 1B.

Step 7

To make the turn, string 1B and 3A.
